EncryptEdge One GmbH ("EncryptEdge One", "we", "us") is the controller of personal data collected through this website. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights under the GDPR.
1. Contact details of the controller
EncryptEdge One GmbH, Aachener Str. 487, 50933 Köln, Germany. Email: [email protected]
2. Data we collect and why
Contact form enquiries. When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, company name (optional), the topic you selected, and the message you provide. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing is necessary to respond to your pre-contractual enquiry. Retention: we retain enquiry data for 24 months or until the business relationship ends, whichever is later.
Website analytics. If you accept optional analytics cookies, we collect anonymised data on page visits, session duration, and referral source. No personally identifiable data is collected. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent via the cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage.
Server logs. Our web server automatically records IP addresses, browser type, and pages requested for security and operational purposes. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in maintaining website security. Retention: 7 days.
3. Data sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with:
- Our web hosting provider, solely to operate the website (data processing agreement in place)
- Competent authorities if required by law
4. International transfers
We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your personal data; rectify inaccurate data; request erasure; restrict processing; data portability; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise any right, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Germany, the relevant authority is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW).
6. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
